The impact of Swedish technical expertise on the international research stage is now receiving further recognition. Ahead of AIMday Big Science Technology in September 2025, Big Science Sweden is highlighting the collaboration between EKA, Caverion and CERN as one of its official success stories.
The focus is on our joint work to phase out F-gases and replace them with more sustainable solutions – in one of the world’s most advanced research environments.

🚀 From idea to impact – our collaboration with CERN is an example of how Swedish industry can contribute to the research infrastructure of the future.
Through a feasibility study initiated at AIMday 2024, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of CERN’s cooling systems and proposed ways to future-proof them with natural refrigerants. The project quickly opened the door to continued collaboration – and is now being highlighted as a strong example of how the AIMday format can turn ideas into real-world impact.
We are proud and excited to see our work recognised in this way.
